Joerg Wuttke is Chief Representative of BASF China, based in Beijing. Prior to BASF, Joerg worked with ABB for 11 years, and has been based in China since 1988. From 2007 to 2010, he was the President of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. In 1999, Joerg was founding member of the German Chamber of Commerce in China and from 2001 – 2004 was the Chairman of the Board. In January 2011 the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD (BIAC) named Mr. Wuttke to become Chairman of the BIAC China Task Force. In February 2011 EU Commissioner De Gucht nominated Mr. Wuttke in a small informal network of leading China experts to guide him on China issues.
