In China’s dynamic and wild nightlife scene today, new rhythms and fresh tones are blossoming. From Yunnan’s Reggae, Chengdu’s Hip Hop to Shenzhen’s Electronic music, Chinese Youths are redefining these popular music genres, and their place in an ever-evolving society. YCW brings together the creators of RADII’s newest mini-doc series “Into the Night” and NYU Professor Ray Suarez for an evening of discussion surrounding music, youth culture and social identities.

The event will open with a special premier of the first episode of RADII’s mini-doc series “Into the Night“. We will be hosting a discussion around what the intersections of music, social identity and political influence in society say about Modern China.

This event is hosted in collaboration with Radii.
