Special Projects

YCW brings together the China watching community through projects such as the Essay Competition, which awards insightful writing on current affairs in China. In the past, other projects have included our Pulse Survey, which gauged shifting perceptions on China within our community; an annual Conference held in collaboration with King’s College in London; and the Young China Watcher of the Year Award, which celebrated inspiring thought leadership.
