No Coding Experience Necessary

Preferred Location: bay area, but tele-working also negotiable as long as you have a fast and stable Internet connection (this very likely rules out mainland China, unfortunately)
Young China Watchers is a global organization dedicated to connecting young China-focused professionals with experts around the world. We currently run events in our 9 global chapters (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, New York, San Francisco, Berlin, Brussels, London) and promote original content on our website with speakers and up-and-coming thought leaders.
This is an unpaid, part-time internship (est. workload is 5-10 hours/week), and is very ideal for a student who:
— is in the bay area during the summer taking classes or working
— has an interest in working in China or China-related affairs sometime in the future
— would like to receive training in one of the newest web app development platforms (no coding experience necessary, just good logic skills)
— appreciates good design, both in terms of organizational efficiency and aesthetics
THE WORK:
— assist in creating a web platform on Bubble (bubble.is)
— internal digital operations: building and optimizing the ways that different chapters share content and promote events with each other
— external marketing and communications

This is an unpaid internship. All YCW operations are currently volunteer-driven.
