Earlier this year, Bilahari Kausikan explained in an article, “China and the Breeding of Black Swans”, that the COVID 19 pandemic has illustrated the strength and weakness of China and complicated the relationship between China and its fellow superpower, the United States of America. About Mr Bilahari Kausikan
Mr. Kausikan is the Chairman of the Middle East Institute at the National University of Singapore and Senior Fellow at the SMU School of Social Sciences. He was also Ambassador-at-Large and Policy Advisor at Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Kausikan was formerly Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has served as Singapore’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Ambassador to Russia.
