Young China Watchers (YCW) Brussels is recruiting for a Director to join its dynamic leadership team.
YCW is an all-volunteer, independent, organisation focused on connecting and educating the next generation of China thought-leaders through forums and other events, including a speaker series that has attracted top policymakers and academics.
Since the founding of YCW Brussels in 2015, we have attracted members to talks and dinner events that have featured speakers such as Mats Harborn, Patrick Horgan, Maria Byrne, Jessica Batke, Kerry Brown, Ellis Mathews, Philippe Le Corre, and Shada Islam.
Brussels is one of the newest and fastest growing of 10 YCW chapters around the world. Others include Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, London, Berlin, New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C. and Singapore. YCW has a total of more than 5,000 highly engaged members.
As Director, you will work alongside the Head of the Brussels team in driving YCW Brussels ambitious strategy and operations.
Responsibilities will include: identifying speakers and propose potential partnerships, coordinating with other chapters and interacting with the YCW Global Editorial Team on the YCW pipeline to line up on-and off-line content. You will also be expected to draft event invitations and occasionally moderate event discussions, as well as to promote YCW events and engage with participants on social media platforms. The role will require a time commitment of a few hours per week.
Please email brussels@youngchinawatchers.com by July 25 with a CV and a brief note outlining your interest in becoming a YCW Director.
